The National Conference on Aviation and Space Education (NCASE) will
focus on the core subject areas with an emphasis toward hands-on, minds-on
sessions applied to National Standards, Standards of Learning, and 'No
Child Left Behind'. Educators will be eligible to earn 30 contact hours.
NCASE 2006 Tracks and Sessions
The conference tracks for the 2006 National Conference on Aviation and
Space Education (NCASE) address central themes and key technologies as
they pertain to aviation and space education.
Conference Tracks include:
· Science of Aviation and Space
- Sessions included in this track will bring together experts in the
field of aviation and space education sharing information about the
science of aerospace.
· Teaching and Learning
- Connecting National Standards, Standards of Learning, No Child Left
Behind to Aerospace Education in the Classroom
- Organizations such as The National Reading Association will address
the Reading/Language Arts connection to teaching aerospace.
· Teaching and Learning methodologies and technologies using aerospace
education as the theme
- Professionals such as the National Science Teachers Association (NSTA)
inform on the latest in distance learning opportunities. The
International Technology Education Association shows participants how to
bring the latest in technology to youth.
· Outreach for Aerospace Education
- Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), NASA, CAP aerospace
education leaders, the Aerospace Education Foundation (AEF), and other
organizations such as the Experimental Aircraft Association (EAA), will
share ideas and techniques for presenting aerospace education to the
community and educators.
· Importance of Educating Youth for Aerospace Careers
- Meet some of the aerospace leaders and find out about the needs of
the aerospace industry by learning about the past, present and future of
aviation and space.
